SCADS Shows: Weekly Show Program History

Dedicated musicians donate their time and talent to provide entertainment for an hour at South County Adult Day Services in Laguna Woods. Every week the volunteers come away with the knowledge that they are making a difference in the world around them.
History: On Friday February 6, 2015 various talented performers from the Sunshine Performance Club began weekly entertainment events at the Agewell Adult Day Care Center in Laguna Woods. The name is now South Country Adult Day Services as Alzheimer's Orange County took responsibility from Age Well for Adult Day Services.
More History: Due to the pandemic, the Sunshine Performance Club's held their last show at the South County Adult Day Services facility on Friday, March 6, 2020. Personnel from Alzheimer's Orange County worked diligently to provide an alternate way for the former attendees at the center to have entertainment in their homes. On Friday, June 12 the Sunshine Performance Club held the first Zoom show for SCADS and they have continued every week since then except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years holiday. Audrey Larsh is the Alzheimer's Orange County facilitator who makes this possible.
Call for Talent: The Sunshine Performance Club offers villagers the opportunity to fine tune their performance skills. Talented performers may become part of a rotating group of volunteers who perform every Friday for South County Adult Day Services (SCADS). SCADS is supported by Alzheimer's Orange County.
